Build the AI systems enterprises actually run on

We're a small, tight-knit team of builders and engineers obsessed with one thing: helping teams get AI to production reliably. We care as much about the relationships we build as the systems we ship. If you're passionate about solving hard problems with people who care, we'd love to have you alongside us.

We're a tight-knit team obsessed with one thing: getting AI to production reliably. If you want to build systems that hold up in the real world, we're hiring.

Note from the founder:

Trust is the central design problem of the AI era. While most companies treat AI reliability as an afterthought, we think it's the actual work.

That's why we started Textlayer. We're building the AI systems companies can stand behind in production: where real users, real data, and real consequences expose what no demo ever will.

This work takes engineers, designers, and product people who care about how systems hold up under real load.

We're early, and the team is small. The methodology is still being shaped by the people doing the work.

That's the offer. If you join now, you don't inherit a playbook. You help write it.

The work

The work

You'll take AI engagements from first conversation to production system. That means scoping the right problem, shaping the system that solves it, building it to production standards, and proving it works in the real world.

Engagements span PE-backed portcos across compliance, financial services, FP&A, and logistics. Every one is a new domain, new team, a new set of constraints. A year here compresses what most AI builders get in five.

If you've shipped AI and felt the gap between "the demo worked" and "this is actually trustworthy in production," that's the gap we close for a living.

Who we're looking for

Who we're looking for

We work on a specific problem: getting AI to behave reliably in high-stakes production environments, where failure has real consequences. That shapes who we hire.

Most of us came from outside traditional AI/ML. What we look for is genuine curiosity about hard problems and a high bar for solving them well. This tells us more than where you studied or what's on your resume.

For engineers, walk us through something you built — not just where it worked, but where it broke and what you learned.

For product and design, show us a system you shaped: the trade-offs, the things you cut, the moments you pushed back on the brief.

If you're on the fence, reach out. We'd rather have a conversation than miss someone great.
